Before You Go, Here’s How To Plan Your Visit To Disneyland Paris: Practical Quick Tips
- Before going to Disneyland Paris, make sure that you have already bought this 1 day Disney entry ticket to avoid wasting time in lines or this multi-day entrance ticket if you plan on visiting for more than one day. Ps. Do not buy the tickets on the day of your visit as they tend to be much more expensive.
- Take advantage of the extra magic time by staying at one of the Disneyland Paris Hotels. You can stay at Relais Spa Chessy Val d’Europe if you’re on a budget, Disney’s Newport Bay Club for a luxury mid-range stay (this is actually where I stayed when I visited Disney), or Disney’s Hotel New York® – The Art of Marvel for a luxurious stay. All these hotels offer a free shuttle to Disneyland Paris and are 10 minutes away from the park on foot.
- Unfortunately, things can and do go wrong when you travel. World Nomads offers coverage for more than 150 activities as well as emergency medical, lost luggage, trip cancellation, and more. If you’re considering travel insurance for your trip, check out World Nomads.
- You’ll also need sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, and a refillable travel water bottle.
How to Get From Paris to Disneyland Paris
Read on to discover all the best ways to get to Disneyland Paris from Paris! I’ll categorize this post by transport means so you can skip to the option that makes more sense for you!
1. How to Get from Paris to Disneyland Paris By Train
This is the easiest, fastest, and cheapest way to get to Disneyland Paris from Paris! All you have to do is take RER A heading towards Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy. From this train station, the Disney Parks are less than 5 minutes away on foot.
You should, however, be careful as this line has other trains headed in another direction (Boissy-Saint-Léger) otherwise, you might just end up somewhere else.
In most cases, the direction signs for Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy in metro stations will even have a little Mickey photo so it’s really hard to miss.
You can take this train from various train/metro stations including Châtelet Les Halles, Nation, Gare Lyon, Charles de Gaulle-Étoile, and Auber.
The entire journey takes about 40-45 minutes and since there are several trains throughout the day, you don’t need to buy a ticket in advance. You can just buy it right before your train.
You can also see the official photo of RER A if you’re still confused about it!
Pros:
- Direct route with no transfers.
- Frequent service with trains every 10-15 minutes.
Cons:
- Can be crowded, especially during peak hours and holidays.
- Delays due to occasional maintenance work on RER A though it’s quite rare.

2. How to Get From Paris to Disneyland Paris By Bus
If for whatever reason you can’t take the train, another option to consider is to go by bus — not any bus but rather the Disneyland Paris Express.
The Disneyland Paris Express Bus offers three convenient stops from which you can board, depending on where you’re staying.
Either at Eiffel Tower (14-16, rue Jean Rey – 75015 Paris) at 8.30 a.m., Opéra Garnier (8, place de l’Opéra – 75009 Paris) at 8.35 a.m., or Châtelet (1, place du Châtelet – 75001 Paris) at 8.55 a.m. Just make sure to arrive 15 minutes before departure.
Pros:
- Direct connection to Disneyland Paris.
- You won’t have to deal with navigating public transportation in Paris
- It’s comfortable
- It has a luggage compartment so you don’t have to sit with them.
Cons:
- More expensive than the train.
- Subject to traffic delays.
- Not flexible with timings.

3. How to get to Disneyland Paris from Paris By Private Transfer
If you don’t want to deal with public transportation or even figuring out anything, then you can go to Disneyland Paris by booking this Private transfer.
This option offers door-to-door service which makes it ideal if you’re traveling with lots of luggage or after a long flight and you’d rather have someone deal with the logistics rather than figure out your way.
Pros:
- Direct and private transportation.
- Convenient, especially if you have small children or lots of bags.
Cons:
- Significantly more expensive than public transport.
- Can be affected by traffic.

4. How to Travel from Paris to Disneyland Paris By Car
To be honest, I wouldn’t recommend this option but if you prefer driving or are traveling with someone with reduced mobility, then this could be a great option.
The journey takes about 40 minutes depending on traffic and the route is straightforward. Just follow the GPS via A4 Motorway and you’ll be on your way to the happiest place in France.
If you don’t have your own car, you can rent one online! There are many car rental companies like Kayak and Rental Cars that you can search for the best deal.
Pros:
- Flexibility to travel at your own pace.
- Ideal for families/ groups or people with reduced mobility.
Cons:
- Parking fees at Disneyland Paris are pretty high.
- Driving in and around Paris can be challenging if you’re not used to it.
- Traffic delays
Pro tip* Hiring a car just for a round trip from Paris to Disneyland Paris doesn’t make sense budget-wise since parking at Disney also comes with a hefty price tag.
However, it is ideal if Disney is only a stopover on a long road trip through France! You can read more in my Disneyland Paris tips article here.

5. How to Get to Disneyland Paris from Paris By Taxi/Uber
If you still want to go in a private car but don’t want to drive or prebook a private transfer, then there is an option of calling a Taxi, Uber, Bolt, FreeNow, or any of the other ride-share companies in Paris.
Like the above option, I don’t really recommend this as it can be quite expensive. Each of the ride-share options offers more or less the same service at a closely related price. All you have to do is compare the rates on the various apps and choose one that suits you.
Pros:
- Direct and private transportation.
- Convenient, especially if you have small children or lots of bags.
Cons:
- Significantly more expensive than public transport.
- Can be affected by traffic.
